A collaboration, a Festive brew and the world's first tree tomato beer. A sorta-Porter fermented with New Zealand grown Tamarillos, which were smoked using wood chips from the sacred Pohutakawa tree (also know as the NZ Christmas tree).

"Sam Calagione teams up with fellow brewer, Luke Nicholas, from Epic Brewery in New Zealand to create an authentic beer out of local ingredients to be entered into the annual New Zealand beer competition, Beervana; meanwhile trouble’s brewing back at DogFish when their acclaimed Punkin’ Ale ends up in the wrong type of glass bottles and the fear of dumping a significant amount of it down the drain looms."

Just watched the episode here in California. As a Kiwi who has been living here for about two years, and loved Epic when in NZ, and loves Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA, I really hope that this beer makes it here. Also, start sending Epic's new brews over here, I miss them!
