I’M loving Epic Pale Ale at the moment. The label claims to be "Making the world a better place with beer", and for once the advertising hype is true. This beer is all good. It’s got a lovely aroma, not strong, of dust and old citrus rind with all the sweetness removed. In the mouth there is a huge grapefruit character and bucket loads of hop power. On Friday night there was a news story on TV3 talking about Coke distributing beer brands, Miller and Peroni in New Zealand. In the closing shot of the story they scan a walking in beer fridge and the shot ends with Epic center shot. Can't miss that bold packaging. "Thanks camera guy at TV3. I'll shout you an Epic if we ever meet."
