Father’s Day Epic Beer × Maker’s Mark Bourbon Tasting

Forget the socks. Give Dad something he can actually enjoy.

Join us at the Epic Taproom this Father’s Day for a special guided tasting bringing together two great American flavour obsessions: hops and bourbon.

We’ll be matching a line-up of Epic beers with a range of Maker’s Mark bourbons, starting with a side-by-side comparison of Maker’s Mark 40% and 45%, tasted alongside Epic Pale Ale and Armageddon IPA.

From there we’ll take a short detour into the dark side with an Epic Imperial Stout, using its rich, roasty malt character as a palate reset before the intensity starts climbing.

Then it’s into the serious stuff:

Maker’s Mark 101 Proof × Hop Zombie Double IPA

followed by the crescendo:

Maker’s Mark Cask Strength 54.35% × Hop ZombieR Triple IPA 10%.

Epic’s hop-forward beers have always worked brilliantly alongside bourbon, with citrus, resin, malt, oak, vanilla and warming alcohol all colliding in some very interesting ways. This tasting is our chance to explore those combinations properly.

You don’t need to be a bourbon expert or a beer geek. Whether this is your first time tasting beer and bourbon together or you already have strong opinions about both, we’ll take you through the line-up, talk about what’s in the glass and, most importantly, enjoy it.

It also makes a pretty excellent Father’s Day gift.
