Full Send NZIPA is our fourth collaboration with AJ Hackett Bungy, and this time we have gone all in with a new hop variety from Eggers Hops: ESHcapade.
Epic Beer and AJ Hackett Bungy have always made sense together. One is built on hops, the other on humans willingly stepping off very high things. Different industries, same energy: commitment, adrenaline, and a healthy disrespect for boring.
This beer was created for the NZ IPA Challenge at Smith’s Craft Beer Bar in Queenstown, and we wanted to capture the feeling of Queenstown itself. Big scenery. Big nerves. Big stories. Big flavour. So we made an IPA with that same spirit: bold, bright, modern, and ready to launch itself into the glass.
The Fourth Jump
This is not our first leap with AJ Hackett Bungy.
Full Send NZIPA marks the fourth time Epic Beer and AJ Hackett Bungy have teamed up, and by now we know the assignment: make something with energy, attitude, and a reason to exist beyond just another beer on the shelf.
AJ Hackett Bungy is one of New Zealand’s great adventure icons. They helped turn jumping off perfectly good structures into a world-famous experience, which is both wildly impressive and deeply unhinged in the best possible way.
That energy was the whole idea behind Full Send.
This beer is about the moment before the jump. The toes over the edge. The stomach doing cartwheels. The brain asking sensible questions while the heart has already left the building.
Then you go.
